- London-based studio Paper Project Architecture and Design completed rebuilding a fantastic property this year. Entitled the Notting Hill House, this stylishly colorful mews house was re-imagined to offer more space and convey a sense of comfortable modernity. The original house was enlarged with two additional levels that shape the basement kitchen and top floor master bedroom suite, doubling the floor plan. Located close to Kensington Gardens, the three bedroom house was opened to natural light through fantastic features – floating glass stairs create a lightwell from the top floor large skylight, allowing indirect natural light to flood the whole structure, from top to bottom.
- The basement kitchen features a German manufactured kitchen and one of its walls is adorned with a mirroring set of words that surprise the bold color palette – dark furniture punctured by green artwork and green chairs around a glass-topped table, all set on a white background. Exposing beautiful wide plank Danish wood flooring throughout and benefiting from underfloor heating, the interiors display a modern connection between floors and spaces, creating an open floor-plan spread on four levels. Compact and brightly lit, this impressive residence was designed with attention to details, summing up to a stylish collection of spaces, currently on sale.
